Solid Echo (spins centered off resonance)-
In this case we apply a 90 degree pulse along the x-axis (represented by the big gold arrow) and then another 90 degree pulse along the y-axis some time later. After the first 90 degree pulse the spins dephase and make a "pancake" in the x-y plane. After the second 90 degree pulse it appears as if this pancake separates into many other pancakes and then they all refocus into a nice 3-D figure-8 pattern. Enjoy!
